Sleeping in the middle of the rainforest does not mean luxury is not an option. Each unit at Macal River Resort enjoys all of the fine amenities one would expect to find in a fancy city resort - with greater care taken to ensure the environment doesn't suffer for it.
Treetop Suites
Treetop Suites feature one bedroom and a private jacuzzi on the veranda.
Garden Suite
The Garden Suite has one queen-sized bed, as well as a day bed that sleeps one. The private screened-in veranda offers views of the garden and jungle.
Garden Jacuzzi Suite
A four poster bed, antique armoire, and a spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi are the amenities guests will find in the Garden Jacuzzi Suite.
Orchard Villa
Orchard Villas are large enough to accommodate two couples in their two separate queen-sized sleeping areas. There is a winding staircase that leads up to a loft with two single beds, and even has its own bathroom, and the screened in porch overlooks the orchard, garden, and valley.
The Cottage Collection
Each of the cottages is palm-thatched, and is individually decorated to bring local culture and design inside. There are 23 cottages to choose from.
Macal Cottage
The newest addition to Macal River Resort is the Macal Cottage. It is located in the garden and overlooks the river. Furnishings include a king-sized bed, day bed, hammocks on the two private terraces, and an outdoor jacuzzi.
