The all-inclusive resorts in Belize are different than others throughout the Caribbean. Here you'll find hotels with all-inclusive packages that differ from place to place.
Instead of all-inclusive resort hotels where you pay one fee for your room, activities, and meals, pretty much all of Belizean hotels opt for all-inclusive packages that guests may opt to purchase alongside their hotel stay. These packages will differ from hotel to hotel, and some hotels will even work with guests to create the perfect package for each individual. These packages alleviate the same budgeting dilemmas that have helped to make traditional all-inclusives so popular.
The popularity of traditional all-inclusives stems from the lifestyle they promote. All-inclusive resorts enable vacationers to sit back, relax, and worry about very little. Thus, these resorts usually include many activities and meals in the price of the room, helping to keep your costs down. Plus, since everything is prepaid, guests don't have to worry about budgeting for daily costs and can even choose to leave their wallets tucked safely away in their room.

On the other hand, those who dislike all-inclusives see them in a different light. The on-site, "free" meals do not encourage visitors to venture out and try the local cuisine. The isolation doesn't stop there; all local culture can be lost to those who stay in an all-inclusive resort. While Belize's resorts might not be so structured, buying an all-inclusive plan certainly doesn't encourage you to spend a night on the town.
Azul Resort has earned recognition as one of the top Belize resorts in numerous travel magazines and has been mentioned on countless travel shows, that you can be assured you're getting a luxury stay. Accommodations come in the form of 3000 square foot villas right on the beach with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Rates range from $500 to $600(USD) a night, and include meals, access to a 400-count DVD library, use of the pool, a selection of diving or fishing tours, and more.
If your goal is to see as much of Belize as possible during your vacation, choose one of four packages available to guests at Banana Bank Lodge. Daily tours of jungles and Mayan ruins are included in the price of between $388 and $2100(USD) per stay. Also included in the price are three meals a day, airport transfers, taxes, and fees.
If your passion is fishing, you won't want to stay anywhere other than the Belize Rive Lodge. The River Lodge specializes in creating packages that allow guests to spend as much time out fishing as possible. These all-inclusive packages range in price from $1400 to $3600(USD) and include room, meals, guided fishing trips, and transportation to and from the airport. Beware, these prices do not include equipment or your Belizean fishing license.
Belizean Dreams works with guests to create the ideal vacation package, however, this are three packages available at all times for guests to choose from: the Adventure Package, the Honeymoon Package, and the Wedding Package. The Adventure and Honeymoon packages include air transportation between Belize City and Dangriga, meals, snacks, a voucher for a daily allotment of alcoholic beverages, use of non-motorized watersports equipment, and daily tours. The Wedding Package features a wedding planner to help ensure that your day goes off without a hitch.
A stay at Blue Tang Inn is about adventure and exploration. On top of the cost of the room and a continental breakfast each day, daily excursions are also included in your rate. These adventures include snorkeling and tours of Mayan Ruins. The average cost is between $400 and $2000(USD) for a week long stay.
There are five all-inclusive packages to choose from at Cayo Espanto Resort: Honeymoon & Romance, SCUBA Diving & Snorkeling, Babymoon, Island & Jungle Adventure, and the Millionaire Travel Package. Each includes a four to seven night stay, a butler or houseman, use of non-motorized water sports, and meals. Additionally, each package has extras catered to the idea of the package, such as spa treatments, island tours, beach picnics, and use of a private helicopter.

At Cotton Tree Lodge, guests may choose among three tiers of price packages. The first of which is the Room Only option, in which you pay only for your room. Next is the Full Board with Transfers Option. This price, which ranges from $149 and $439(USD) per night, includes transportation between the lodge and Punta Gorda, accommodations, meals, drinks, and on-site activities. The final option is the full all-inclusive plan. This plan includes the above listed amenities, as well as daily guided off-site tours for between $219 and $519(USD) per night.
If you're planning on staying at Journeys End Resort for five nights or more, you automatically apply for the all-inclusive plan. This plan includes your room and three meals a day for between $245 and $1200(USD) per night. Otherwise, you can opt to add on a meal package for between $60 and $120(USD) a day per person, depending upon how many meals you plan to eat on-site.
Whether you're interested in spa treatments, fishing, diving, or simply relaxing at your own pace, St. George Caye Resort has a package for you. The base all-inclusive package here includes transportation to and from the airport, your room and daily maid service, three meals a day, beverages, non-motorized watersports, and scuba lessons in the pool. All of this costs between $200 and $200(USD).
Guests at the Super Palm Resort may choose the standard rate for booking their room (with the inclusion of a fresh continental breakfast each morning), or the all-inclusive package. With the all-inclusive package you will receive three meals a day, one free massage during your stay, and daily tours of the area.
Victoria House Resort offers standard room pricing with an option of adding on a meal plan. The room rate already includes a continental breakfast, but guests may choose the MAP plan (breakfast and dinner) for $65(USD) a day for adults and $30(USD) for children, or the FAP plan (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for $80(USD) for adults and $39(USD) for children.
Windy Hill Resort is another locale where adventure and exploration is a top priority. All-inclusive packages are really tour packages, allowing guests to pay one price for their room, their meals, and their daily excursions. Some examples of guided tours through Windy Hill Resort include cave tubing and zip lining, visits to Mayan ruins, and jungle tours.
Clearly, the all-inclusive experience is not for everyone. But if such a resort appeals to you, Belize has its own take on this popular theme.
