I couldn't agree more, True Blood has an addictive quality, frankly I blame Eric for that. I'm a huge fan of the books and read them before the series came out. For the most part I love what Alan Ball has done by making the story his own but I do have a couple of gripes. I hated season two because of the Maryanne storyline, it dragged on and she annoyed the hell out of me. I wish she was a tiny portion of the series just as she was in the books.

Rise from the ashes and blaze in everyday glory. Thursday, July 23, Virginity. A friend told me how she recently attempted to lose her virginity: to a man who sounded really creepy and manipulated her into letting him have intercourse with her after she cried when he told her, "I don't go out with women who won't have sex with me by the third date. Clearly it means there's no spark, and no potential. I'm sad that she chose to date this creep even though the warning signs were so clear that God might as well have swooped down and said, "Run! In season 1 episode 6, the protagonist, Sookie Stackhouse, loses her virginity to the sexy Civil War-era vampire Bill Compton.

Having saved Sookie, Godric orders Eric to leave the premises with her - and to do so peacefully. Unfortunately, Steve Newlin and his followers are waiting for them in the Church and he isn't too choosy as to which vampire they use for their sunrise ceremony. Godric tries a different approach and hopes to make peace with Steve, who adamantly opposes any such possibility. Safely returned to their lair, Godric's peaceful approach and lack of desire for revenge doesn't sit well with some of his followers.

I'm not a vampire person. Lord, no. Vampires are the hobby thing of a specific type of odd-bod. Emo sorts into Buffy box-sets , body-art, Anne Rice conventions and striding about Whitby in flappy coats hoping to see the shipwreck of the Demeter. Not me.
